We had a round loosely related to Easter, which was a great excuse to play The Walkabouts’ “Dead Man Rise”, not to mention The Darkness. Easter is also bunny-related, so I got the chance to play “White Rabbit” at the end of that round and told everything they had until that song peaked to submit their answers. Otherwise, I was going to throw the whole quiz into the bathtub.

There were also questions where the answers were the names of baseball teams, so I totally played that softball song from The Simpsons. I like to be tongue-in-cheek with my music when I can, and I had fun with that tonight.

Tribute was paid to Seymour Stein, the founder of Sire Records, who passed away over the weekend. Thank you, sir, for singing bands like Talking Heads and Pretenders and so many others that have enriched our lives for years now.
